Lydia -7/30

Lydia, fresh awaken from a nap strolling around the remnants of the Botanical Gardens, which were affected by the flooding a few weeks ago. They have replanted some things and a lot of plants and bushes and flowers remain, but one can see the damage that was done by the waters and how much accumulated in the gardens when it flooded.

Cuties

The girls together... Lucci is getting better at sitting still and now Lydia is always on the go and won't sit still. The achievement of the perfect photo is a never ending battle.

Mommie doesn't really like her picture to be taken these days, but while Grandma Jeanne was visiting, we went to the Botanical Gardens and took some pictures. Taken June 2006

Lucci had fun... we played with the "ghost bubbles" that Grandma Kate and Grandpa Mick had given her and she just loved chasing them. That is till she found the bird bath (which birds don't use, so don't think she's dipping her hands in diseased water). She had fun dipping the flowers in the water.

They actually sat on the couch together for more than a minute and I was able to get a few pictures.

Lydia decided to crawl and stand up on her own at the same time at 8 months. She'll be walking pretty soon. She has a very active big sister to keep up with. Lucci likes to get into Lydia's feeding chair, bouncy seat, exersaucer and take all her toys these days. They play together a little now, but I really have to keep a close eye on Lucci- she gets a little rough with the baby and it makes mommie pretty darn nervous. Fun times!
